Obituary of Oscar "Kenneth" Johnson

Funeral services for Mr. Oscar "Kenneth" Johnson, born December 18, 1933, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Myrick and Rev. John Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson, a retired employee of Angus Commercial Solvents with 45 years of service, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the age of 80. He was a resident of Bastrop, LA. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Mt. Gerzim Masonic Lodge in Bastrop and the Scottish Rite in Monroe. He was a member of the Harper Road Hunting Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling. Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Pinkie Maude Johnson; wife, Eloise Hall Johnson; son, Tootie Reynolds; sister, Bennie Maude White; brother, James Johnson; and grandchildren, Courtney Hall, Cricket Hall, and D'Lario Moss. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Reynolds Johnson; daughters, Pinki Johnson White and husband Tommy of Monroe, LA, Janice Johnson Hall of Ruston, LA, and friend Paul Hebert of Bay St. Louis, MS; sons, Joe Reynolds and wife Alonda of Bastrop, LA, Mitch Reynolds and wife Tina of Bastrop, LA, Allen Reynolds and wife Tami of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Michelle White Epinette, Jimmy White, Cameron White, Katie Hall Davidson, Carrie Hall, Christy Hall, Mitch Reynolds, Jr., Coty Reynolds, Michelle Wooten, Taylor LaBorde, Victoria Reynolds, Dylan Mewborn, Kelbie Reynolds, Ashlie Reynolds; numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are Joe Reynolds, Mitch Reynolds, Allen Reynolds, Coty Reynolds, Mitch Reynolds, Jr., Paul Hebert, John Middlebrooks, and Dylan Mewborn. Ben White is an honorary pallbearer.
