Obituary of Octave Lovely "Jr." Trahan

Graveside services for Mr. Octave Lovely "Jr." Trahan, 71, of Bastrop are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Carter Cemetery with Rev. Dale Jordan officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Trahan, a construction worker and local landscaper, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Summerlin Lane Nursing Home. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Trahan of Lafayette, LA; his son, Billy Trahan and wife Darlene Richard of Lafayette, LA; two half sisters, Sandra Bourque, Deanna Bourque; three half brothers, Ray Trahan, Floyd Bourque, Robert Bourque; five step sisters, Linda Pellerin, Joann Romero, Grace Romero, Bell Thomas, Sable Boudreaux; step brother, Paul Sittig; three grandchildren, Erica Broussard, Vickie Halterman, Amy Smith; four great grandchildren, Spencer Bares, Matthew Bares, Bailey Bares and Ava Smith. Mr. Trahan is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Trahan; the mother of his children, May Alice Albarado; parents, Tiny Bourque and Ena Trahan; grandparents, Hubert and Olymph Simon Trahan and half sister, Louise Carrier. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Golden's. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
