Obituary of Sarah Fontenot Hall

Funeral services for Sarah Fontenot Hall, age 96, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Spillers officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Hall, a homemaker and resident of Bastrop, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2008. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to be at home where she enjoyed cooking and sewing. She is preceded in death by her husband, James William "Bill" Hall. She is survived by her children, Willie Mae Hall Dove of Bastrop and Betty Fay Hall of Bastrop; grandchildren, Jamela Zimmerman of Bastrop and James "Jay" Dove, Jr. of Bastrop; and great grandchildren, Lisa Ann Tatum of Ruston, Kevin Wayne Tatum, Jr. of Seattle, WA, Victoria Zimmerman of Bastrop, Sarah Dove of Bastrop, and Michelle "Shellie" Dove of Bastrop. Serving as pallbearers will be Clint Downs, Ronnie Atkins, Calvin Lusby, James Mayhall, Bob Pugh and Buddy Wilbanks. Jerry Mayhall will be an honorary pallbearer.
