Funeral services for Ms. Willie White, 78, of Bastrop, will be at 2 PM Saturday, December 24, 2005 at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cal Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday December 24, 2005 from 10 AM to service time at Golden's.
Ms. White, a retired South Central Bell employee and member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church passed away Thursday December 22, 2005 at Morehouse General Hospital.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane Edwards & husband Tommy of Bastrop; granddaughter, Cindy Thompson of West Monroe, LA; two great grandchildren, Joshua & Morgan Thompson both of West Monroe, LA; three sisters, Gloria Cooper & husband C. S. of Ruston, LA, Martha Edmiston & husband Joe of Ruston, Billie Mayo & husband Harry of Jones, LA; three brothers, Ed Jones of Ansley, LA, Marcellus Jones of Ruston, LA, James Jones & wife Barbara of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. White is preceded in death by her husband, Prentiss White; parents, Griffin & Ora Jones; and two brothers, Griffin Jones, Jr., and Jesse Jones.
