Obituary of Robert Johnson

Funeral services for Robert F. Johnson will be Sunday, August 15, 2004, at 3pm at Golden Funeral Home Chapel, with Father John Kennedy offciating. Mr. Johnson, a retired veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps., served his country in Vietnam and Korea. Mr. Johnson was also an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bastrop. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Grace Johnson of Bastrop; a daughter, Cindy Burlew & husband Sam of Bastrop; 4 sisters, Frances Dunn, & Faye Stone both of LeCompte, LA, Ann Perry of Seiper, LA, and Mary Nell Carmouche & husband Gerald of Pineville, LA; 4 brothers, Gerald Johnson & wife Ginny of Shreveport, Richard Johnson & wife Faye of Lafayette, LA, Kenneth Johnson, and Don Johnson & wife Cheryl all of LeCompte, LA; 3 granddaughters, Libby, Dona, & Meredith Burlew all of Bastrop, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his parents, Felix & Nona Ruth Johnson; and by a son, Michael David Johnson. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 14, 2004 from 5-9pm with a Rosary Service at 7pm, and then again Sunday August 15, from 1-3pm at Goldens.
