Funeral services for Mr. George Edward "Ed" Jones, 72, are scheduled for 11:30 AM Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Loveday and Rev. Shelton Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery, Collinston, LA under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, July 25, from 5 PM until 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Jones, a contractor, was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Greenwood, AR.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Hicks Jones; daughter, Melinda Gaye Jones-Prince; sisters, Verly Jean Woodruff, Nellie Faye Anthony, Lily Faye Daigle; brothers, James Jones, Michael Jones, Basil Jones, E.J. Jones; and a very Special nephew Randy Daigle.
Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bruce Jones and Vernon Jones.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Randy Daigle, Logan Daigle, Shane McGee, Dewey Jones, Jimmy Christmas, Chris Christmas. Honorary pallbearer is Don Fontenot
