Obituary of Gloria Lee Spikes

Gloria Lee Spikes, age 85 of Bastrop, La, a homemaker, died August 19, 2014. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Dalyn Helbling officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Spikes, a member of First Church of God (Bastrop, LA), was born August 20, 1928 to parents, the late, T.J. "Tom" and Minnie McIntyre Wallace. She is also preceded in death by brothers, Marlon Wallace, Berlon Wallace and sisters, Blanche Hughes and Lucille Dopson. Mrs. Spikes is survived by her husband, Jerry Spikes; daughter, Diane Holloway and husband Mickey; grandson, Galen Holloway and wife Cory; great grandchildren, Rhys Holloway, Liam Grant, Fergus Grant; brother, Willard Wallace and a huge extended family of much loved nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God, Bastrop.
