Obituary of Rose Marie Goodwin

Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Marie Goodwin, age 83 and resident of Bastrop, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. James Moffett officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Goodwin, a native of England, AR, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014. She was an active member and Sunday School teacher at Pine Grove Baptist Church for many years. She was also a member of several local community organizations. She was a prayer warrior for all who knew her, especially her family. She loved having family get-togethers and being around people. Her hobbies included being outdoors and daily trips with her husband. She was always there to listen and give advice to her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary Ella Hoggard; two sisters, Earlene, and Adene Courmier. Mrs. Goodwin is survived by her husband, Hersey Goodwin; three daughters, Karen Bryan and husband Bubba of Monroe, LA, Donna Laseter of Monroe, LA, Debbie Mattice of Bastrop, LA; six grandchildren, Tina Koeshall and husband John, Alana Laseter, Mandy Lynn and husband Wade, Holley Perry and husband Jonathan, Shawn Mattice, Laci Rae Mattice; five great grandchildren, Zachary Lynn, Hunter Cheek, Devyn Lynn, Laiken Lynn, Emarie Perry; one great great grandchild, Reilly Lynn; brother, Buster Hoggard and wife Velma of Rosebud, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
