Obituary of Annie B. Holland

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie B. Holland, 93, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Mer Rouge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday. Mrs. Holland passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was retired from the retail sales business for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Rebekah Sunday School Class, where she was in charge of sending cards to those in need. She alway chose a special card for each individual and wrote special notes. She loved her church, her family, her friends and will be missed by all. Mrs. Holland is survived by her brother, Norwood Knight and wife Marie of Fort Smith, AR; nieces and nephews, Floy Tisdale and husband Sterling of Bastrop, LA, Gail Garrett and wife Pat of Bastrop, LA, Ann Roan and husband Joe of Bastrop, LA and many other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Warner Holland; parents, Francis Marion Knight and Frances Essel Boyd Knight; four brothers, Rudolph Knight, Floyd Knight, Lawrence Knight, Glenwood "Glen" Knight and three sisters, Audrey Knight (infant), Erla Knight Garrett and May Delle Knight Irvine. Serving as pallbearers are: Wayne Freeland, Wayne Philley, Elva Greer, Terry Williams, Danny Shores and Neal Deforest. Honorary pallbearers are: Ross C. Ford and Dr. Carter Cox. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.
