Memorial service for Ernest Joseph "Pete" Chaney, Jr.,75, of Oak Grove, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Friday,August 20,2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oak Grove, LA. with Father Zach officiating. Burial will follow in Mississippi.
Mr. Chaney,a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oak Grove, LA and a retired United States Navy cook who served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, died Sunday ,August 15, 2004 at his residence.
He is survived by three daughters, Carol Rocha of San Diego, CA, Lynda Linville of Lakeside, CA, and Mary Chaney of Portland, OR; three sons, Ernest Joseph Chaney III and wife Laura of Goodwill, LA, Michael L. Chaney and wife Lori of Carencro, LA, and D. David Chaney of San Diego, CA; brother, Marion Chaney and wife Jane of Alexandria, LA; nine grandchildren, Jason Rocha, Jeremy Chaney, Stephanie Chaney, Ernest Joseph Chaney IV, Rebecca Gonzales, Christopher Chaney, John Albert Chaney, Aaron Linville, Alisa Linville and two great grandchildren.
Rosary will be Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oak Grove, LA.
Funeral service under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
