Obituary of Thelma Mae Remore

Memorial services for Mrs. Thelma Mae Cathey "Penny" Remore, age 84, of Bastrop are scheduled for 1 PM Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff May officiating. Mrs. Remore, a retiree of T.R.W., passed away Monday, September 8, 2008 at her residence. She was a member of White Avenue Baptist Church and of the Golden Circle Sunday School class. She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie L. Remore; her parents, Arthur E. and Daisy E. Cathey; two brothers, LaVaughn D. Cathey and Vernon E. Cathey. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Johnnie W. Remore and wife Deborah of Cypress, CA; her daughter, Judith N. Starling and husband Kenneth of Theodore, AL; her sister, Audrey Fife of Bastrop; her four grandsons, Johnny L. Remore, Timothy W. Starling, Casey C. Starling, Jason W. Remore; one great granddaughter, Jenna R. Starling; one step great grandson, Mark W. Steele; two great great grandsons; numerous nieces, nephews and many wonderful and faithful friends and family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
