Obituary of Sadie Blood Campbell

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Sadie Blood Campbell, 79, a retired sales clerk and resident of Bastrop, are scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Pinegrove South Cemetery (Hwy. 139, Bastrop) with Bro. Jerry Spikes officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 3 p.m. Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Campbell, a beloved, mother, sister and grandmother, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 after a sudden illness. She was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church. She had a strong faith in her Lord. Mrs. Campbell is survived by her daughter, Kathy Lynn Halbert of Irving, TX; two sons, Allan Sims and wife Patricia of Fort Worth, TX, Terry Sims of Bastrop, LA; sister, Dorothy Williams of Bastrop, LA; brother, Paul Blood of Jonesboro, LA; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Lucy Blood and ten brothers and sisters. The family wishes to express there gratitude to the employees of Cherry Ridge Guest Care for the dedicated service given to Mrs. Campbell over the past 20 years.
