Services for Mr. James Michael McKoin, age 58, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. John Slade and Rev. Cecil Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in Wilmot Cemetery, Wilmot, AR. Visitation will be held Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. McKoin, a resident of West Monroe, LA, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Morehouse General Hospital. He had been employed in law enforcement for 30 years.
Mr. McKoin is preceded in death by his parents, J.L. McKoin and Vaunda McKoin; paternal grandparents, J.D. and Lucille McKoin; and maternal grandparents, Earl and Nancy Pruitt.
He is survived by two daughters, Holly Anna McKoin of Monroe, LA, Melanie Elizabeth McKoin of Monroe, LA; aunts, Eunice Daily of Hamburg, AR, Marie Fortune of Wilmot, AR; and a host of cousins.
Serving as pallbearers are Joe Kenny, Dennis Doke, Cameron Parker, Jon Philley, Michael Moore, Jimmy Parker, Steve Hammond, Scott Travis. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Mixon, B.J. Martien, Royce Pruitt, and David Pruitt.
