Obituary of Willie Harvey

Graveside services for Mr. Willie Harvey are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, September 27, 2014, at Carter Cemetery. Mr. Harvey, age 88, a resident of Bastrop, LA, and a retired accountant, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Visitation will be Friday, September 26, 2014 from 6 - 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Harvey is preceded in death by his sister, Stella Fenton, and his brothers, Oma Harvey and Jefferson Harvey.
He is survived by two sons, Larry Harvey of Mer Rouge, LA and Allen Harvey and wife Theresa of Alto, LA; two brothers, Murl Harvey of Baton Rouge, LA and Thomas Harvey and wife Ann, also of Baton Rouge, LA; grandson, Jeffery Harvey of Bastrop; great grandchildren, Jewlian Harvey, Kayden Harvey and the mother of his children, Nell Keen. In addition, he is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are, Brandon Wall, Brandon Trichell, Patrick Wyatt, Jeffery Harvey, and Allen Harvey.
Mr. Harvey was an Navy Veteran, having served in both World War II and the Korean War. He was also a fifty-year member of the Mt. Gerizim Masonic Lodge of Bastrop.
