Obituary of Velma McMellon Brown

Mrs. Velma McMellon Brown, 90, of Fairbanks, LA died October 1, 2008 at The Oak Woods in Mer Rouge, LA. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe, LA on Friday, October 3, 2008 at 10:30 am with Rev. Jim Potts officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a long time resident of Fairbanks. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Brown of Fairbanks,LA; a daughter, Nora Clark of Perryville, LA; two grandsons, Doyle Clark and wife Tina of Memphis, Tenn; Dennis Clark and wife Gladys of Gloucester, Va; five great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; four step-children. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank McMellon; granddaughter, Letty Clark; son-in-Law, Jimmy Clark.
