Funeral services for Miss Irma J. Woodall, age 74, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. David Chapman and Rev. Cal Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Goldens.
Miss Woodall, a resident of Bastrop since 1955, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a member of White Avenue Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Lee's Drug Store and retired after 45 years in the drug store business.
She was born in 1934 to Jennie and Wallace Woodall in Coffeeville, MS. She was a former resident of Clarksdale, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Carl Woodall; sister & brother-in-law, Opal & George Browell; and step-father, Ira Randolph.
She is survived by her half-sister, Joan Randolph of Pontotoc, MS; two nieces; two nephews; and special friend, Herman Cox of Bastrop, LA.
Pallbearers will be Van Lee, Paul Taylor, Travis Jackson, John Walker, Everette Oliver, and Hal Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Carter Cox and Willis Freeland.
