Funeral services for Thelma L. Dowd are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday January 10, 2006 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Lonadier officiating. Burial will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday at Goldens from 5-9 p.m.
Mrs. Dowd, age 85, passed away January 6, 2006 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a resident of Bastrop and retired from the Morehouse Parish ASCS office. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Mrs. Dowd is preceded in death by her husband, William Wall Dowd; daughter, Denise Dowd; and parents, Austin Perry & Nora Inez Goodnight.
She is survived by her son, William "Mike" Dowd of Bastrop; brother, Austin Perry "Speedy" Goodnight of Bastrop; granddaughters, Ginger Marisa Greenwood of Bastrop, Rachel Dowd of Bossier City; and great grandson, Adron Greenwood of Bastrop.
