Obituary of Norma Jean Gibson

Funeral services for Mrs. Norma Jean Gibson, age 88, of Ruston, LA are scheduled for 11 AM Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Golden Funeral Home with Bro. John Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Crossroad Cemetery, Crossett, AR under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 8 PM Wednesday, October 15 at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Gibson, a retired LPN at Morehouse General Hospital, lived her life as a loving caregiver in the roles of daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, and served as pastors wife to her soul mate. She is survived by her children, Linda Robinson, Judy Milford and husband Ronnie, Terri Gibson and son-in-law Michael; grandchildren, Tamara Ruth and husband Michael, Shay Wilkerson and husband Ray, Jason Robinson and wife Mary, Justin Milford, Ashley Milford, Russ Barger and wife Angela, Jacob Barger and wife Malorie, Katy Barger; great grandchildren, Emily Ruth, Haley Kelly, Ryan Wilkerson and wife Sarah, Evan Wilkerson, Ethan Robinson, Miranda Robinson, Jackson Barger, Hallie Carter, Bailee Barger, Zoe Barger; great great grandchild, Tristan Wilkerson. Mrs. Gibson is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Rev. Zack E. Gibson, parents, Leland and Gladys Bays; brothers, Ira Lane Bays, James Lamar Bays; son-in-law, Leroy "Dinky" Robinson. Serving as pallbearers will be; Michael Barter, Jason Robinson, Ryan Wilkerson, Bryan Bays, Ray Janray and Jacob Barger. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Milford and Russell Barger. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.
