Funeral services for Mrs Flora Jean Barton, 79, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. A.J. Fulton officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Barton, a retired A-shift nurse at International Paper Co., who attended First United Pentecostal Church, passed away Monday October 6, 2008 at her residence. She enjoyed working in her gardens and was a wonderful seamstress.
Mrs. Barton is survived by her daughter, Barbara G. Kegebein of Bastrop, LA; four sons, Tommy O. Barton of Zanesville, OH, Owen Douglas Barton and wife Mary of Bastrop, LA, Jerry L. Barton and wife Sandra of Bastrop, LA, "Butch" Hoelzle of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Charlene Ferguson of Sterlington, LA; eight grandchildren, Linda Kay Steele, Michelle Henson and husband Dewayne, Rodney Barton and wife Amy, Krista Barton, Laura Barton, David Barton and wife Kayla, Bethany Hughes and husband Chris, Wade Barton and wife Stoney; six great grandchildren, Tracy Hamby, Anne Henson, Kohlson Barton, Garrison Barton, Eden Hughes, and Kelly Jo Barton.
Mrs. Barton is preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
