Funeral services for Harold L. Johnston, Sr., 75, of Beekman, LA will be held at 2 PM Thursday, January 12, 2006 at Beekman Methodist Church with the Revs. Bobby O'Fallon and JoAnn Sims officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnston, a self employed businessman in Morehouse Parish for many years, passed away Monday, January 9, 2006 at his residence. He was a member of Beekman Methodist Church and an avid gardener.
Mr. Johnston is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles P. "Bubba" Johnston and a great grandchild Micah Dew.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joan Johnston; daughter, Charlotte Repp & husband Michael of Beekman, LA; three sons, Donald Lynn Johnston & wife Kerri of Bastrop, Bob Johnston & wife Cheryl of Bastrop, Harold Johnston, Jr. & wife Angela of Bastrop; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cloys Johnson and G. E. McQullin.
