Funeral services for Ms. Bettie Ruth Chunn Turner, age 70, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, November 3, 2014 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Shelton Morgan and Bro. Seth Williamson officiating. Interment will follow in Hughes Chapel Cemetery.
Ms. Turner, a homemaker and of the Baptist faith, enjoyed working word puzzles, coloring books, fishing and Dr. Pepper.
She is survived by her daughter, LaDonna Denton and husband Daril of Pioneer, LA; sisters, Elois Breland and husband Bernard of Bastrop, LA, Myrtis Hofford and husband Coy of Sheridan, AR; grandchildren, Jessica Creech and husband Bryant, Jackie Barthol and husband Joshua, Andrew Hemphill; great grandchildren, Chloe Barthol, Logan Barthol and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Turner is preceded in death by her son, Terry Porter; brother, James Chunn and sister, Daisy Bennett.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Fife, Daniel Fife, Caleb Brown, Jason Bennett, Bubba Kenley, and Clyde Cambell. Zach Kenly will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 5 PM - 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
