Funeral services for Mr. Leroy Barnett, age 80, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Simms Cemetery, Crossett, AR. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Barnett, a retired farmer and resident of Bonita, LA, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014. He was a member of Holly Ridge Baptist Church. Mr. Barnett had served in the U.S. Army and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Toby and Levey Barnett; brother, Gene Barnett; and nephew, Toby Barnett. Mr. Barnett is survived by his wife, Julia M. Barnett; brother, Joe Barnett and wife Lana of Crossett, AR; sisters-in-law, Judy Barnett of Crossett, AR, Sheela Woods of Hamburg, AR; nephews, James Woods, wife Tammi and family of Crossett, AR, Vincent Barnett, wife Betty and family of Des Arc, AR, Wesley Barnett, wife Michelle and family of Crossett, AR, Jeffrey Woods, wife Grace and family of Bastrop, LA, Charles Woods, Jr., wife Lesley and family of Branson, MO; nieces, Jeanne Nellams and husband Darrel of Crossett, AR, Louise Pippen, husband Lonnie and family of Crossett, AR, Dana Patron, husband Steven and family of Bastrop, LA, Cindy Barnett and family of Bastrop, LA, Elizabeth Barnett and family of Star City, AR, Helen Ruth Boyd and family of Lufkin, TX; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Vincent Barnett, Wesley Barnett, Jimmy Crenshaw, Jerry Crenshaw, Jeff Woods, and Steve Acre. Honorary pallbearers are Harry Mayo, James Woods, and Francis Tomblin.
