Obituary of Jimmy Beryl Moncrief

Jimmy Beryl Moncrief passed away on May 30, 2014, at the age of 65. He was born on January 30, 1949, to John Wilburn and Grace Graves Moncrief in Bastrop, Louisiana. After graduating from Louisiana Tech University, he moved to Houston, Texas and had a successful career as a registered professional architect in the Houston area. Jim's kind spirit will be missed by many family members and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his father John, and brothers, Ronnie and Billy. He is survived by his devoted wife of thirty-eight years, Kay Hays Moncrief; his daughter, Kelly Christine Moncrief; his twin sister, Judy Meryl Moncrief; his sister-in-law, Sandra Parker Moncrief; his nieces, Tracy Moncrief King and family, and Dana Moncrief Bass and family. He is also survived by many treasured cousins. Graveside services for Jim and his mother Grace Graves Moncrief will be conducted by Reverend Henry Stone of First United Methodist Church, on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Christ Church Cemetery, in Bastrop, LA, under the direction of Golden Funeral Home of Bastrop.
