Obituary of Carrie Faye Hodges

Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Faye Hodges, age 79, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Bastrop United Penetecostal Church with Rev. Dwight Fulton officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove South Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Bastrop United Penetecostal Church. Mrs. Hodges, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014. She was a retired ward clerk at Morehouse General Hospital and nurse's aid at Cherry Ridge Guest Care. She was a member of Bastrop United Pentecostal Church. In her later years, Mrs. Hodges loved cross-stitching, puzzles, and reading. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Hodges, Sr.; parents, L.C. and Edna Roberts; granddaughter, Jennifer Stephenson; twin brother, Jessie Roberts; and brothers, Jimmy Roberts and Lenox Roberts. She is survived by her three daughters, Sandra Barton and husband Jerry of Bastrop, LA, Linda Dement and husband Carl of Bastrop, LA, Susan Castleberry and husband Richard of Waskom, TX; son, Leon Hodges, Jr. and wife Tambra of Bastrop, LA; four brothers, Robert Roberts of Bastrop, LA, Neal Roberts of Portland, OR, Glen Roberts of Bastrop, LA, Danny Roberts of Dunn, LA; nine grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Hodges, Randy Hickman, Jr., Alan Dement, Wade Barton, Dustin Castleberry, and Billy Riles.
