Obituary of Milton Edward Preddy

Funeral services for Milton Edward Preddy, age 64, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday January 20, 2006 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Christ Church Cemetery in Bastrop. Mr. Preddy passed away January 18, 2006 in Newellton, LA. He was a resident of Winnfield, formerly of Rayville. He was a member of Rayville United Methodist Church. He was a former chief deputy for the Richland Parish Sheriff's Office. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve during the Vietnam War. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph G. & Claudis Preddy; brother, Bob Preddy; and father-in-law, Bennie Jones. Mr. Preddy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathy Preddy; daughter, Kimberly Preddy & fiance Shaun Coleman of Monroe; aunts, Sue Whitman & husband James of Rayville, Mae Spencer of Bossier City; mother-in-law, Louise Jones Deville of Bastrop; sisters-in-law, Connie Priest of Bastrop, Marilyn Kinnaird & husband Donnie of Bastrop; four nieces and one nephew. Pallbearers will be R.A. Hunter, Bill Hughes, Don Miller, Gary Hebert, Kent Morgan, and Dan Spencer. Visitation will be held Friday January 20, 2006 from 1-2 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
