Obituary of Phyllis Adelaide Geoghan Sharik

Graveside services for Phyllis Adelaide Geoghan Sharik, age 84, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2008 at New Hope Cemetery, Jones, LA with Bro. Kevin Baker officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. She was born November 6, 1924 in Glen Burnie, Maryland. She passed away November 21, 2008 at Oak Woods Home for the Elderly. She was a homemaker and a resident of Mer Rouge. She is preceded in death by her parents, Phillip & Nellie Ruth Geoghan; sister, Ruth Huntzinger; and grandson, Anthony Tubbs. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Sharik of Jones, LA and Janet L. Baker & husband Kevin of Severn, MD; two sons, Michael James Sharik of Jarrettsville, MD and David Paul Sharik & wife Mary of Pasadena, MD; sister, Patsy Chieces & husband Richard of Glen Burnie, MD; two brothers, Philip Geoghan of South Carolina and Johnny Geoghan & wife Lois of Bivalve, MD; six grandchildren, Theresa Lynn Tubbs of Gulfport, MS, Ian Carbaugh of Redmond, WA, Adam Carbaugh & wife Gloria of Forest Hill, MD, Carrie Sharik of Pasadena, MD, Scott Sharik of Pasadena, MD, Barbara Sharik; five great grandchildren, Alisha Tubbs, Amanda Janowitz, Michael Carbaugh, Alicia Carbaugh, and Lauren Carbaugh. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
