Funeral services for Mr. Jack Allen Dean, 38, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, December 1, 2008 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Black officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Dean, a roofer, passed away Friday, November 28, 2008. He was a graduate of Bastrop High School. Mr. Dean believed in God and read his Bible daily. He was a simple man who fished, and duck and deer hunted.
He is survived by his parents, Jack and Helen Watt Dean; son, Jason Allen Fortune; grandmother, Maryanne Dean; two sisters, Susanne Dean, Robin Grantham and husband Michael; a niece, Amber Grantham and nephew, Joshua Grantham, all of Bastrop; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Dean; grandmother, Reba Ladelle Freeland and granddaughter, Jayden.
Pallbearers will be Travis Masters, J.W. Howard, Keith Alford, Andy Jensma, Shane Howard and Darwin McDowell.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 1, 2008 from 11 AM until 2 PM service time.
