Funeral services for Eliza Jane "Jannie" Gilley, age 90, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday February 2, 2006 at Green Acres Baptist Church with Revs. Chad Ballard, Jimmy Wright, Phillip Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in Ford Field Cemetery near Mangham. Visitation will be held Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m.
Mrs. Gilley, a resident of Bastrop, passed away January 31, 2006 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mitch Gilley; parents, James & Mandy Weathers; five children, Roy Gilley and four infants; three sisters, Mabel Woodard, Mary Greer, Mollie Taylor; three brothers, William Weathers, George Weathers, Mannard Weathers.
She is survived by four daughters, Dot Washington of Bastrop, Jo McCollough & husband Everett of Hamburg, AR, Marie McCoach & husband Dan of Alexandria, VA, Martha Gilley of Bastrop; four sons, Edward "Larry" Gilley of Bastrop, Glenn Gilley & wife Jean of Camden, TN, Eugene Gilley & wife Connie of Rogers, AR, Keith Gilley & wife Caroleen of Simsboro; 22 grandchidlren, 37 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, DeWayne Gilley, Nathan Gilley, Rick Washington, Jimmy Gilley, Joe Allen Gilley, and James Gilley.
