Graveside services for Phil Roberts, age 53, are scheduled for 1 PM Wednesday at Carter Cemetery, with Rev. Alan Eppinette officiating. Visitation will be from 9 AM until 12 noon Wednesday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Roberts, a resident of Bastrop and a former International Paper Company employee, passed away Monday December 8, 2008 at Morehouse General Hospital. He is preceded in death by his father, Derrell Roberts; and a brother Garland Roberts.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his mother, Lucille Roberts; three nephews; one niece; and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will be Michael John, Ben White, Randy Fortner, Craig Evans, Bobby Stokes, and Jerry White. Honorary Pallbeares will be Terry Tate, R.J. Fortner, and Jessie Fortner.
