Funeral service for Mr. Carl Edward Wilson, Sr., 59, of Bastrop are scheduled for 10 AM Saturday February 4, 2006 at Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Ganey and Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow at Bonita Road Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Wilson, pastor of South Side Baptist Church, retired construction manager and member of Chemin-A-Haut riding club, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2006 at St. Francis North Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Linda Wilson; mother, Bertie Wilson of Bastrop, LA; daughter, Carolyn Strahan and husband William of Rayville, LA; son, Carl Edward Wilson, Jr. and wife Lori of Rocky Branch, LA; sisters, Ida Mae Callendar and husband Joe of Bastrop, LA, Faye Welch of Winnsboro, LA, Pat White of Prescott, AR; brothers, G.B. Wilson and wife Becky of Bastrop, LA, Charles Wilson and wife Lynn of Bastrop, LA, William Dale Wilson and wife Helen of Fouke, AR; grandchildren, Miranda Faith Wilson, Cynthia Michelle Strahan, Ethan Lee Strahan, Robert James Wilson and Rayven Edward Wilson.
Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his father, W.C. Wilson and daughter, Cynthia Michelle Wilson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Branch, Lloyd Collins, Jimmy Straughn, Gerald Payne, Frank Fulmer and Charlie Coody.
Visitation will be Friday, February 3, 2006 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
