Obituary of Aline "Bonnie" Ann DeFreese

Funeral services for Aline "Bonnie" Ann DeFreese, age 77, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday December 23, 2008, at Horseshoe Baptist Church with Bro. Don Slack, Bro. Newton Smith, and Bro. Francis Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday, starting at 4 p.m. at the church. Mrs. DeFreese, a resident of Mer Rouge, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant and a Beautician. She was a member of Horseshoe Baptist Church where she was very active, a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary #2277 in Bastrop, and she also enjoyed doing craft work of all kinds. Mrs. DeFreese is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Golden. Mrs. DeFreese is survived by her husband, Clayton P. DeFreese, Sr., two sons, Clayton P. Defreese, Jr. of Bonita, LA, Thomas L. DeFreese of Mer Rouge, LA; a half sister, Bobbie Nell Floyd of Winnfield, LA; six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Anthony DeFreese, James DeFreese, Reggie DeFreese, Timmy Snow, Greg Kennedy, and Marshal Stevens. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Allen Spires, Dr. John Roberts, and Dr. Benjam Stage.
