Funeral services for Lavenia Pritchard, 85, of Bastrop will be 11 AM Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Rev. William Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Ms. Pritchard, a retired registered nurse, worked at Morehouse General Hospital from 1960 - 1981. She served as director of nursing for 5 and a half years during her tenure. She passed away Thursday, February 9, 2006 at Morehouse General Hospital.
Ms. Pritchard is preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Pritchard; and by a son, John T. Pritchard, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Waltman of Monroe, LA; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Price, Clifton Rogers, Roger Kinnison, Sherieal Fowler, Kenneth Reynolds, and Kenneth Burke.
Visitation will be from 3 PM - 8 PM Friday, February 10, 2006 at Golden Funeral Home.
