Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Mitcham Hendershot McKnight, age 84, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday April 17, 2007 at McKnight Cemetery in Holly Ridge with Rev. Charles Germany officiating. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. McKnight, a homemaker, passed away Saturday April 14, 2007. She was a resident of Mer Rouge. She is preceded in death by her husband, L.B. McKnight.
She is survived by two daughters, Amanda McMillan & husband Clarence "Red" of Brandon, MS, Diana Brigman of Sterlington; son, David Hendershot & wife Marsha of Rayville; sister, Tula Johnson of Metairie; three grandchildren, Michelle McMillan Holyfield, Shannon Smith, Shelly Yates; three great grandchildren, Billy Smith, Bailee Smith, Matthew Yates.
