A memorial service for Mrs. Edith M. "Tommie" Domino, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Bastrop, is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Christ Church Cemetery with Rev. John Slade officiating. Friends are invited to attend a visitation from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Friday, January 16 at Golden Funeral Home for a time of fellowship and remembrance.
Mrs. Domino, and her late husband Cataldo, who passed away in 1978, were owners and operators of Bastrop Liquor Store and the Blue Front Cafe located on the town square during the 1950's. She graduated from Weston Highschool in 1947, where she was named both most studious girl and most itelligent girl. In her yearbook, her senior fortune read "Do not look for happiness and money in the same place".
She is survived by two sons, Lane T. Domino and Charlie S. Domino both of Houston, TX; a sister, Elsie "Bea" Little of Bastrop, LA and several nieces, nephews and stepchildren.
