Obituary of Johnie Randolph Hebert

Funeral services for Johnie Randolph Hebert, age 88, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Kimball officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Hebert, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Monday, January 19, 2009 at Morehouse General Hospital. He was a retired employee of International Paper Company and a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was a member of Bastrop Church of Christ and loved to hunt, fish, and be in the outdoors. Mr. Hebert enjoyed gardening and sharing his crops with friends and family. He had been a resident of LeGrand Health Care for the past three years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Claudine Hebert; parents, Johnie & Nancy Hebert; brother, Algie Hebert; son-in-law, John Gulledge; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Hebert; and great grandson, Nicholas Gulledge. He is survived by two daughters, Virginia Gulledge of Bastrop, LA, Janet Miller & husband Tommy of Spring, TX; son, Tommy Hebert & wife Jenny of Youngsville, LA; sister, Maggie Ray & husband Sidney of Arcadia, LA; three sister-in-laws, Martile Hardy of Rayville, LA, Ruth Hardy of Rayville, LA, Evelyn Hardy of Colorado; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of LeGrand Health Care and to Dr. Carter Cox and his staff. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Coleman Spann and Buddy Anderson.
