Graveside services for Mr. Raymond R. Cockrell, 69, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Christ Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Ingram officiating.
Mr. Cockrell retired from International Paper Company, January 1, 1992 after 26 years of service as an instrument electrician. He is a member of First Baptist Church and served his country in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Mary K. Cockrell; son, Timothy Raymond Cockrell and wife Kelli of Bastrop, LA; step daughter, Heather Rutkowski and husband Brad of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; sister, Erna Lee Turner of West Monroe, LA; brother, Ernest T. Turner of West Monroe, LA; four grandchildren, Francesca Cockrell, Chelsea Cockrell, Emily Cockrell and Noah Cockrell.
Mr. Cockrell is preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Turner.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, February, 24, 2006 at Golden Funeral Home.
