Obituary of Shirlean Marie Pruitt

Shirlean Marie Pruitt, 75, of Bastrop, LA was born on October 11, 1933, and was called to heaven on February 6, 2009 after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband, William Leon Pruitt; two sons, Leon Dewayne Pruitt of Gulfport, MS, and Bobby Gene Pruitt of Bastrop, LA; one daughter, Shirley Pruitt McDuffie of Bastrop, LA; five grandchildren, Derek, Chad, Shane, Tiffany, and Cody; six great grandchildren, Jaden, Deacon, Drake, Gage, Kirsten, and Davery; two brothers, Joe Crenshaw of Bastrop, Robert Crenshaw of Little Rock, AR; and four sisters, Katherine Basso of Sumter, SC, Marion Barthol of Jones, LA, Emmie Kinnaird of Hamburg, AR, and Patricia Wells of Monroe, LA. Preceding her in death are her parents, Harvey and Paralee Crenshaw and two brothers, Henry Ferrell and Boyd Crenshaw. Visitation will be held at Golden Funeral Home on Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2009 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Harvey and Danny Crumley officiating. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery. The family offers special thanks to Dr. Robert Lyon, the staff of Hickory Manor Nursing Home, and the staff of Premier Hospice for their care and concern in our time of need.
