Obituary of Sr. Ellis

Funeral services for Thomas H. Ellis, Sr., 60, of Bastrop will be at 2 PM Monday, March 6, 2006 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeremy Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery. Mr. Ellis, a retired chief mechanic for the Fire Department, and a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War passed away Saturday, March 4, 2006 at his residence. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Frank, Sr. and Olive Ellis; and by a brother, Frank Ellis, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn H. Ellis; daughters, Lisa Dardar, and Billie Jean Frost & husband Jonathan all of West Monroe, LA; son, Thomas H. Ellis, Jr. of West Monroe; sister, Patricia Hemmingway; grandchildren, Joshua Ellis, Smokey Hosea, Christopher Ellis, Jacob Ellis, DeAnna Ellis and Hannah Ellis; mother-in-law, Elsie Becker; brothers-in-law, Doyle Harris and Donny Hutson; sisters-in-law, Alice Hutson, Charlotte Harris, Jackie Shilow, and Faye Harris. Pallbearers will be: Bobby Moore, Charles Welch, Jonathan Frost, Tom Futch, Victor Fontenot, and Michael Eubanks. Visitation will be held at Golden Funeral Home Monday, March 6, 2006 from 10 AM to service time.
