Funeral services for Minnie "Cricket" Madison Chandler, age 83, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday March 11, 2006 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Couch officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-9 p.m. at Goldens.
Mrs. Chandler, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Thursday March 9, 2006. She was a former employee of Hickory Manor Nursing Home. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Will Chandler; son, Joe A. Chandler, Sr.; granddaughter, Leslie Annette Chandler; and great grandson, Gabriel Joseph Courson.
Mrs. Chandler is survived by three daughters, Jean Busby & husband Steve of West Monroe, Mary Collins of Crossett, AR, Ruby Courson & husband Danny of Bastrop; son, Jimmy Don Chandler & wife Lynette of West Monroe, ten grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Johnson, Todd Jones, Danny Courson, Steven Busby, David West and Gary Lowery. Honorary pallbearer will be J.T. Jones.
