Obituary of Doris Mae Hughes

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Mae Hughes, 82, of Farmerville, LA, formerly of Sterlington, are scheduled for 12 Noon Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Mr. Randy Hart officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Hughes, a former LPN at the Crossett Hospital in Crossett Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Union General Hospital in Farmerville, LA. She was a dedicated housewife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by two sons, Vernon Hughes of Perryville, LA, Marty Hughes and wife Wanda of Farmerville, LA; brother, Estel Burchell of Crossett, AR; twin brother, Norris Burchell of Crossett, AR and four grandchildren, Hannah Fife and husband Heath, Rebekah Hughes, Micah Hughes and Brant Forwood. Mrs. Hughes is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin E. Hughes; parents, Mack and Maude Burchell and two sisters, Lonnie Mae Murphy and Ella Mae Murphy.
