Funeral services for Lloyd "Snow" Calhoun, age 86, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday March 15, 2006 at Riverside Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Petrus officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening at Golden Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m.
Mr. Calhoun, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Monday March 13, 2006. He was a retired employee of International Paper Company. Mr. Calhoun was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and a member of Campers on Mission. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Joseph Lowry.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Daisy Calhoun; daughter, JoAnn Lowry & husband Clarence of Bastrop; son, James Calhoun & wife Gaye of Magnolia, AR; three sisters, Norma Avary of Corpus Christi, TX, Irma Williams of Monroe, Dean Daughdrill of Gladewater, TX; brother, Wilbur Calhoun of Bastrop; five grandchildren, Elizabeth McDowell & husband Greg, Edwin Lowry & wife Yolanda, Heath Calhoun & wife Deborah, Telena Wallace & husband Jason, Tracy Rosett & husband Ronnie; four great grandchildren, Jennifer Henson & husband Dane, Jonathan Wilson, Lance Lowry, Ryley Calhoun; three great great grandchildren, Baylee Henson, Blaz Henson, Joseph Blane Henson.
Pallbearers will be Edwin Lowry, Greg McDowell, Jonathan Wilson, Clarence Lowry, Robert Dolan, Heath Calhoun, Dane Henson. Honorary pallbearer will be Herman Cox.
