Obituary of Odessa Freeman McCormick

Funeral services for Mrs. Odessa Freeman McCormick, 80, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Believer's Worship Center with Rev. Louis Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. McCormick, a retired cafeteria employee at Hickory Manor Nursing Home and member of Believer's Worship Center, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Fountain View Nursing Home in Springhill, LA. Mrs. McCormick is preceded in death by her husband, John Darrel Freeman. She is survived by her daughter, Lee Sullivan and husband David of Taylor, AR; son, Danny Freeman and wife Pat of Bastrop, LA; five grandchildren, Sherry Sanders, Debbie Wooley, Glen East, Konnie Kimball, John Freeman and eleven great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers are: Rodney Austin, Wayne Freeman, Mike Freeman, Tyler Guiterrez, Tommy Sanders and Trinity Sanders. Honorary pallbearers are: Charles Wooley and Frank Ponder. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at Believer's Worship Center.
