Obituary of Gloria Blake Cobb

Graveside services for Mrs. Gloria Blake Cobb, 85, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009 at Carter Cemetery with Rev. Cal Adams officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 12 noon Friday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Cobb, a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Morehouse General Hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Berry of Marion, LA, Kathy Cobb Busby and husband Gene of Hot Springs, AR; one son, Kenneth K. Cobb, Jr. and wife Tillie of Bastrop, LA; three sisters, Zana Tarpey of The Woodlands, TX, Anita Beal of Austin, TX, Barbara Puckett of Woodville, TX; two brothers, Braxton Blake of Temple TX, Johnny Blake of Sour Lake, TX; six grandchildren, Karol Schneider, Kevin Berry, Kenneth Cobb III, Leah Stone, Kerri Daniels, Kody Sigman and twelve great grandchildren. Mrs. Cobb is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth K. Cobb and brothers, Lacy and Hampton Blake. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the management and staff of Cherry Ridge Guest Care for the loving care given to Mrs. Cobb during her time there.
