Funeral services for Paula Duncan Lowrey, 90, will be Friday May 1, 2009, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Ingram officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday May 1, 2009 from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lowrey, a resident of Bastrop, a beauty salon owner for many years, and a member of First Baptist Church, passed away Wednesday April 29, 2009 at Morehouse General Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mamie Duncan; brothers, Cecil Duncan, David Duncan, Tom Duncan, John Duncan; and a great granddaughter, Heather Greer.
Mrs. Lowery is survived by one daughter, Paulette Greer and husband Elva of Bastrop, LA; two sisters, Lucille Meador of Bastrop, LA, Jackie Wallace of Shreveport, LA; two grandsons, Heath Greer and wife Kim of Bastrop, LA, Paul Greer and wife Lisa of Vicksburg, MS; and four great grandchildren, Emily Greer, Joshua Greer, Sam Greer and Zachary Greer.
