Obituary of John Croswell

Funeral service for Mr. John William Croswell are scheduled for 10 AM Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Britt Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Mr. Croswell lived in Morehouse Parish since 1945 and was a retired electrician from International Paper Company. He loved the Lord and his church, and was instrumental in the start-up of several churches in Bastrop, LA. He was the last surviving Charter Member of Central Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Croswell went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 29, 2006. He is preceded in death by his wife, Verla Irene Pogue Croswell; son, Charles William Croswell; four brothers and one sister. He is survived by two sons, Bill Croswell and wife Helga of Sherwood, Oregon, and John Croswell and wife Lynda of Bastrop, Louisiana; one brother, Raymond Croswell of Hensley, Arkansas; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Visitation will be Friday, March 31, 2006 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Croswell's family would like to say thanks to Dr. Robert Lyon and the 2nd Floor Nursing Staff at Morehouse General Hospital.
