Funeral services for Mrs. Margie B. Jackson, 94, of Hebert, LA formerly of Bastrop, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2009 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmie Yocum officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson, a homemaker and member of Bethany Baptist Church in Hebert, La., passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care.
She is survived by her daughter Jo Ann Kelly and husband Wiley of Hebert, LA; two sons, Kenneth Oscar Jackson and wife Jan of Seminole, OK; Robert Elmon Jackson of Bastrop, LA; sister, Marie Sharpely of Bossier City, LA; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Jackson is preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Jackson; three sisters, Ruby Barber, Jessie Mae Knowles, Mary Barber; three brothers, Reggie W. Brown, Thornton Albert Brown, Joe Brown and one great great granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Kelly, Wade Kelly, Robert Kelly, Wayne Jackson, Robbie Jackson, and Huey McDuffie.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 14, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
