Obituary of Ina Katherine Doles McCready

Funeral services for Mrs. Ina Katherine Doles McCready, age 82, will be held Monday May 18, 2009 at 11 AM in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Babcock officiating. Interment will follow in Bonita Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. McCready was born July 15, 1926, and was educated in Bonita schools. She received her teaching degree from Northeast Louisiana Teachers College (Now ULM). She taught school in Bonita until her retirement, then operated Doles Grocery following her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband W.B. (Bert) McCready; her two sons, James (Jim) Ellis McCready, Sr. and Steven Wayne McCready; and brothers, Howard Doles and Frank Doles. Mrs. McCready is survived by her grandchildren, Leigh Katherine McCready Gass and husband David of Phoenix, AZ, James Ellis McCready, Jr. and wife Holly of Monroe, LA, Carol Cartwright Hatcher and husband Edwin of Lytle, TX, Tyler Jones of Bastrop, LA; great grandchild, Reese Hatcher of Lytle, TX; daughters-in-law, Nettie Cartwright and husband Finley of Lufkin, TX, Pam Jones and husband James of Bastrop, LA; sister, Jane Pippins of Woodworth, LA; brothers, John Doles and wife Thelma of Monroe, LA, William Doles and wife Jean of Bonita, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ellis Ray Doles, Pat Doles, Brian Hopkins, Ronald Hopkins, Phillip McCready, and Lance Pippins. The family will receive friends Sunday May 17, 2009 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
