Obituary of Mark McKee

Funeral services for Mark McKee, age 60, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday May 23, 2009 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin McDaniel and V. Jeffers officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. McKee a resident of Bastrop and a long time employee of Georgia Pacific passed away Monday May 18, 2009 in Alabama. He was a member of the Upper Room Church in Bastrop. Mr. McKee is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mildred McKee. Mr. McKee is survived by four sons, Chad McKee and wife Heather of Ft. Benning, GA, Shawn McKee and wife Winter of Bastrop, LA, Mark Allen Roper of Bastrop, LA, Stacy Roper of Bastrop, LA; one daughter, Misty Goodson and husband Michael of Bastrop, LA; one sister, Wanda "Munch" Brodnax and husband John of Monroe, LA; three brothers, Dennis McKee and special friend Liz Blackman of Bastrop, LA, Ross McKee and wife Shaen of Sydney, Australia, Lou McKee of Sydney Australia; four grandchildren, Taylor, Alexis, Mason and Raylea McKee; and two nephews, Frank Mushinski, Jr. of Dallas, TX, and Cole McKee of Bastrop, LA. Pallbearers will be Ronald Pettis, Donald Hawkins, Donald Hawkins, Jr., Cole McKee, Frank Mushinski, Jr. and Keith Harris. Honorary Pallbearers will be Walker Glenn, Henry Heath, Don Laing, Ricky Carroll, Larry Murphy and John Ed Middlebrooks. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday May 22, 2009 at Golden Funeral Home.
