Graveside funeral services for Arthur N. "Skunk" Ferrell are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009 at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Hurst officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Ferrell, a farmer, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the age of 64. He was born April 8, 1945 in Jones, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard & Margie Ferrell; sister, Lavada Jackson; two brothers, Howard Ferrell, Jr. and Harold Ferrell; two brothers-in-law; Jack Barthol and Marvin Herrington; and a nephew, Neal Ferrell.
He is survived by two sisters, Louise Barthol of Jones, LA and Lillie Herrington of Bonita, LA; brother-in-law, Charles Jackson of Bonita, LA; two sisters-in-law, Verna Ferrell of Bastrop, LA and Joyce Stewart of Jones, LA; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Judy Marshall.
Honorary pallbearers will be Venoy Kinnaird, Lee McKoin, David Hogan, and Hoot Coleman.
