Obituary of Jr. Duncan

Funeral services for Ben Gilbert Duncan, Jr. will be held at 10 a.m. Monday May 25, 2009 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Petrus officiating. Interment will follow in Duncan Cemetery, in Mangham, LA under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday May 24, 2009 at Golden Funeral Home. Ben Gilbert Duncan, Jr., 78, of Bastrop, LA passed away on May 22, 2009. Ben was born on February 4, 1931 in Richland Parish. He is survived by his wife Mary Duncan of Bastrop, LA; one son, Tim Duncan of West Monroe, LA; one daughter, Libby Rankin of Somerville, TN; one son, Terry Gunter of Birmingham, AL; one step-daughter, Brenda Turner of Bastrop, LA; one step-daughter, Tina Strobel of Gulf Breeze, FL, one step-daughter, Mathilde Halcomb of Baton Rouge, LA; one step-daughter, Lisa Brooks Halcomb of Wisner, LA; one step-son, Roy Halcomb of Alexandria, LA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ben was employed at the Natchez branch of International Paper Mill from 1951 until 1995. Pallbearers will be Roland Binns, Rex Binns, and Eric Herndon.
